Graphic Designer / Motion Designer

Job Description:

Metre seeks an experienced Graphic Designer / Motion Designer to join the creative team to help execute print, digital, social, and motion graphics/video projects for a variety of clients and industries. This role is an even split between graphic design and motion graphics, requiring a versatile creative who can move fluidly between both disciplines. We need someone with strong technical knowledge and a sharp design aesthetic who can hit the ground running.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000

The Role:

• Design and develop creative assets for print, web, digital, and social channels.
• Develop and execute motion graphics and animation for digital, social, and broadcast.
• Collaborate with the creative team across all project types — from brand and print to video and motion.
• Present and defend work, strategies, and ideas to creative leadership.
• Review, proof, and critique design work across the team.
• Take responsibility for the overall quality of work on assigned projects and clients.
• Collaborate to set the direction of typography, photography, color, and other design elements.
• Work within the requirements of our creative process.
• Ensure efficient, high-quality, and timely production of all work.
• Full-time position (Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00).
• Hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A portfolio and/or reel of professional work demonstrating both design and motion capabilities.
• 2+ years of experience in graphic design and motion design. Agency or studio experience preferred.
• A degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, or a related field.
• Excellent type, layout, and motion skills paired with a strong, consistent design aesthetic.
• The ability to work independently and efficiently across multiple projects and timelines.
• The ability to bring fresh, creative ideas to client work and design projects.
• Required software: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• Bonus skills: Premiere Pro, Figma, and Procreate.
