Media Strategist

Job Description:

We’re seeking a Media Strategist to join the media team to develop media plans and negotiate media buys in television/cable, radio, out-of-home, print, local community websites, and some streaming. This is primarily a traditional media planning and buying opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop traditional media strategies and detailed plans, backed by target audience and media usage research
  • Strategically implement media buys, developing strong relationships with media representatives and negotiating cost-effective contracts
  • Seek out creative, out-of-the-box media placements and strategies
  • Monitor and share performance metrics with clients using Excel, dashboards, and analytical summary report
  • Provide clients with campaign post buy analysis and recommendations for future campaigns
  • Collaborate with agency digital and creative teams for media-specific messaging ideas
  • Supervise the work of the team’s media planners and buyers
  • Review and track media invoices

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years traditional media buying or media sales experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working with performance metrics and analyzing media data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with high professionalism and expectations for quality
  • Ability to work successfully within a team as well as independently
